Cluster Aware Updating - servers never reboot

I have a 3-node Server 2012 Datacenter cluster running Hyper-V. We have an internal WSUS server, and updates were just pushed to it today. I decieded to test out our Cluster Aware Updating setup.

The nodes found updates, and downloaded them fine. After the first server installed all the updates successfully, it tries to restart. My RDP session is killed, and it looks like it is going to restart, but it doesn't.

Logging in to the console brings me to the lock screen. CtrlAltDel does nothing (so I cannot attempt to log in). RDP connections succeed, but are immediately dropped. Remote Management does not respond. The server never responds.
Doing a hard reboot on the server causes the updating run to complete successfully, as long as it has not timed out yet.

Every single host in this cluster has this issue, and basically makes Automatic Updates unusable.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Normal manual reboots work fine.
