We are using Failover Cluster Manager version 6.1 of Windows Server 2008 R2. We have confiugred a General application for java.exe for failover to happend between server C1 and Server C2. We have found that java.exe not getting killed during failover and also new java.exe started on failover machine

For example,

An java application is running in server C1. I can see java.exe process in Task Manager. when C1 network down, Failover is happended successfully and the application started in Server C2. I can veryfy by checking the java.exe process in Task manager. But in the same time when I check the status of java.exe in Server C1. It is still running. When we the network pblm is rectified. There is still instances of java.exe running in server C1 and also C2.

Please help us to solve this issue. As mulitple instances of java.exe makes the application work in a wierd manner.

Thanks in advance,

Scindia
