I've setup a server and installed the MS iSCSI Software Target 3.3 with 3 disks that I plan on using for a test Windows 2012 Cluster. I can connect to all 3 disks on each of the servers with no issues.
When I run the cluster validation I get a warning about the SCSI-3 reservations on the disks. My question is I thought I read somewhere that the MS iSCSI software did use the scsi-3 reservations.
here is the error:
"Test Disk 0 does not support SCSI-3 Persistent Reservations commands needed to
support clustered Storage Pools. Some storage devices require specific firmware
versions or settings to function properly with failover clusters. Please contact
your storage administrator or storage vendor to check the configuration of the
storage to allow it to function properly with failover clusters."
The Cluster does configure I was just looking to see if this can be set.
