Hi All,
I'm trying to boost the performance of my cluster so I'm converting all my VHDs from dynamic to fixed. I am utilizing all three of my nodes in order to move through this process more rapidly. On each node, I've shut down a VM and started the conversion process on its VHD. Both the source VHD file and the new "fixed" vhd files are being read from and written back to the shared volume.
While performing this task I noticed that the CSV owner was completing the task much faster than the other nodes. I checked and rechecked to make sure the CSV was not in redirect mode. But, when I check task manager to view the traffic on the network adapters, I find my iSCSI adapters are idle and all the traffic is on the cluster network as if it were being redirected.
I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this. The logs are clean. There are no errors being reportedon the cluster. Is this normal behavior when there is a lot of I/O on the CSV? I'm open to all thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks,
Craig
