Hi,
I've been pondering about a very basic question. When it comes to highly available SMB shares (scale out file servers, volume shared cluster). Especially when listening to webcasts or reading blogs, is there always the implicit assumption that the storage
at the bottom is a single SAN/iSCSI? My first impression was that in a file server cluster, the nodes would have their local storage each (direct attached storage), which would be kept in sync through a network connection and this would create a highly available
file share.
