I have 2 nodes Windows 2008 cluster with Dell Equallogic SAN disks. I am trying to setup SQL 2008 ACTIVE/ACTIVE Cluster and I have got Active(cluster1)/Passive(cluster2) working. but I found a little info on the web how to configure the passive node to be the source server.
1. Do I need to create a new cluster on cluster2 with different DNS name and IP address? When I tried to create a new cluster, I typed in cluster2 DNS name and it says "Computer cluster2.xxxx is joined to a cluster."
2. Do I need to a new set of ip addresses for LAN, ISCSI and heartbeat?
3. Do I need to create a new domain account in Active Directory other than the one is using for the clustered SQL service?
4. I suppose I have to install a named instance SQL server on cluster2, is it correct?
Any help is appreciated.
