Hi,
My customer would like to have a High Availability solution for their application like SharePoint running on VMs on Hyper-V. I'm going to propose using Hyper-V cluster with 2 nodes, now I'm planning on the storage options, as far as I know, Windows Server 2012 support attached storage and SMB 3.0 as the storage options, but based on my research, it seems to me it require a Clustered File Servers as a middle layer between Hyper-V cluster and the attached storage(Storage space). is it possible to Configure the Hyper-V cluster connected to the Attached storage directly? it that supported configuration? so under this configuration, the cost is largely reduced coz' I don't have to purchase two more servers to set up the clustered file services.
Rgds,
Zan
