Hi,
I have 2 HP DL380 G5 servers each with 2 on board NICs and an additional 2 NICs presented from a PCI card. One server is called HYPERV3 (H3) and the other HYPERV4 (H4)
I have an EMC SAN which the servers connect to using iSCSI.
The iSCSI connection IP’s are 10.0.3.62 and 10.0.3.63
I have tried to configure the networking but failed miserably.
H3 was existing with Hyper-V already installed with 3 VM’s using their own IP address on the internal LAN (10.0.0.x).
H4 is a new Hyper-V server with no VM’s at the moment.
Both servers are running Windows 2008 R2.
H3 Current Network config:
IP Address as follows:
Cluster Heartbeat 192.168.50.12 255.255.255.0 no default gateway and only IP4 ticked
LAN NIC 10.0.0.120 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.251 all ticked except MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
LAN NIC1 currently disabled
Local Area Connection 10.0.1.150 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.251 all ticked except MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
Virtual NIC No IP and only MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
H4 Current Network config:
IP Address as follows:
Cluster Heartbeat 192.168.50.11 255.255.255.0 no default gateway and only IP4 ticked
LAN NIC 10.0.0.3 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.251 all ticked except MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
LAN NIC1 currently disabled
Local Area Connection 10.0.1.151 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.251 all ticked except MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
Virtual NIC No IP and only MS Virtual Network Switch Protocol
Could you detail how I would need to configure both servers networking for a successful cluster?
Thanks,
Neil
