I have a two node Windows 2012 Hyper-V Failover Cluster. They are using an Equallogic SAN for their shared storage. Cluster validation succeeds. Here's my problem:
If I'm running a highly available VM on node2 and unplug it's network connections it fails over to node1. That's to be expected.
If I'm running a highly available VM on node1 and unplug it's network connections it doesn't fail over and the cluster is inaccessible on node2. When I try to connect to the cluster from Failover Cluster Manager I get the following error "failover cluster node is in the process of being started". Trying to view status of the cluster via powershell gives the same results.
Any ideas why I can failover one way but not the other?
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance for your help!
