Windows 2008 R2 : Support for iSCSi over shared hyper-V virtual switch

Hi All,

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Hyper-V failover cluster, and i'm using iSCSI for SAN connection.

I have two dedicated NICs for iSCSI traffic.

Today I want to create a SQL Server Failover guest cluster, my only possible way is to create a virtual switch and share it with the management OS, and then pass two virtual adapters to the VM and install MPIO.

Is this configuration supported/Recommended by Microsoft ?

Thanks
