I have a Server 2008 R2 SQL cluster (2 physical nodes, same hardware) and am having trouble determining the correct way to expand the production (client) network subnet mask.
Recently attempted to expand the subnet mask on both NIC's on our 2 Cluster nodes from /30 to /24 and all SQL instances were dropped and unable to be brought back up until the change was reverted. This was changed at the NIC level, not within the cluster manager. This is the only client network that is available at this point.
Any help or description on how to correctly change this would be greatly appreciated, I have only seen information regarding changing the IP address entirely.
