Have setup an Exchange 2013 server inside a Highly Available Hyper V , what is the recommended norm for failover action? Currently I have Failover automatic fallback option enabled, also when failover takes place say for a node server reboots/shutdowns (planned/automatic) should the Hyper-v be thrown into SAVED state or a Shutdown State for Exchange 2013 ?
Also for SQL 2008 inside HA Hyper V would "saved" or "shutdown" state be preferred ? Any data corruption while going into Saved State for Hyper-V's ?
I thought i read somewhere that if Exchange is inside Hyper-V recommended action for failover should be shutting down the hyper-v instead of sending it to saved state ? What sort of settings have the users here chosen and how does it impact data state ?
